29 Jul Get Moving. Stay Moving.
When Kim and I decided to take the leap of faith, trust in God, and open our physical therapy clinic Pro Physical Therapy we knew we wanted to help people get better through physical therapy but we also wanted to promote overall health and fitness within the community.
As we all know Mississippi has the highest obesity rate in the U.S. and we want to do what we can to help decrease that. We talked with several different people and what we discovered was, no one wants to be obese, but most people had no idea where to begin to reach their weight loss goals. Currently the adult obesity rate in MS is 34.9% or 1,943,186 people and the childhood obesity rate is just as high!
Along with obesity comes many medical issues and a shortened life span. So, we began fitness classes to promote a more active lifestyle and began writing nutritional articles in the local papers and posting those same articles on our Facebook page and our website to help with dieting. Another way we have discovered to help people live healthier lives, lose weight, and have more energy is by adding supplements to their diet.
We are excited to help individuals by introducing them to Advocare nutritional products and feel this goes along with our goal of helping to promote a healthier lifestyle within the community and area. They are a health and wellness company offering energy, weight-loss, nutrition, and sports performance products to help people achieve their goals. We desire to see people change their lives for the better through nutrition and overall fitness.
Our current fitness class schedule is Monday at 5:30, Tuesday at 12 and 5:15, Thursday at 12 and 5:30, Friday at 12, and Saturday at 9 AM. Classes are $5 per person. If you have any questions or would like to find out more about what we offer contact us at Pro Physical Therapy 662-282-4949.
