    Welcome Michael Ann Tally

    Welcome Michael Ann Tally

Michael Ann Tally, M.S., CCC-SL We opened Pro Physical Therapy because we recognized a need for easy access to physical therapy services in Mantachie, Mooreville and the surrounding communities. As time passed, we began to notice that our patients were still having to travel far distances for other therapies. That’s why we are happy to now provide speech therapy services at Pro Therapy in Mantachie.

We are also happy to welcome Michael Ann Tally, M.S., CCC-SL to our staff. Tally is great with our smaller clients. She told us that a desire to serve others is what drew her to speech pathology.

“I was drawn to the field of speech pathology because I was interested in helping others and making a difference in their lives,” said Tally.

Tally earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, and began immediately working in the school system after graduation. Working for Pro Therapy will give her a chance to use her experience in a new setting to help more children with their language skills.

Tally says the best thing about being a speech therapist is all the fun she gets to have.

“The most fun aspect about what I do is connecting with others and getting to know them better as I work with them,” said Tally.

Starting this month, Tally will be making appointments during the school year and a few days a week in the summer.

She will be helping children from the ages of 3 years old with common speech therapy issues like:

    ●Stuttering
●Articulation- Children with articulation problems have difficulty pronouncing words. For example, they must learn to produce the “r” sound in order to say “rabbit” instead of “wabbit.”
●Receptive Language deficits- Children or adults who experience difficulty following directions or understanding complicated sentences or questions may have a receptive language deficit.

Michael Ann will starting her practice with us June 1st! If your child is experiencing any of these problems, call us at 662-282-4949 so we can set up an appointment for you with her.
